Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi guys,

Please I need some advise.

I am an international student at the University of Manitoba. I am currently doing my master's degree in economics which is a 1 year (30 credits) program which I started in September 2013.
However, this is actually my second year at this university because I wasn't admitted directly to the master program, I was admitted to a Pre-Master program in economics (24 credits) which I started in September 2012 and completed in April 2013 then I was able to start in September 2013 the master program that I am currently doing.

So, now I am planning on applying for a post-graduation work permit when I complete my master program but I don't know whether I'll be getting a 3 years PGWP (based on 1 year of pre-master and 1 year of master) or just 1 year for the master ??

PS: after I finished the pre-master, I wasn't given any certificate or degree.

Thank you in advance.

as to ur university to give some proof to show that u studied 2 years. good luck...

For PGWP you can use a letter from university that certifies how long you were registered as a full-time student on continuous basis, when degree requirements were completed and when you will graduate (convocation date).

As I understand during pre-master terms you took some undergraduate courses. All of them will appear in your transcripts. So it is your second option to show the real duration of your studies in your application for PGWP.

So I suggest order both, letter and transcripts, and see which document will work for you the best.
I believe you have 95% chances to get 3-year work permit. Good luck.

Thank you guys both for your advice.

I will try to do what you suggested.

Any other suggestions guys ?
Thanks

when you will graduate (convocation date)
Usually you graduate in the end of April but convocation will happen in June. Or you may postpone your convocation date. Convocation date is nothing to do with graduation (the end of the program)
