Will I be denied citizenship?

Hi,

Before you call me an idiot, please don't, I realize that I am an idiot for what I've done and I regret making this mistake.
So I've been living in Canada for 8 years now, I just went to university, and due to the fact that I am an idiot and I was having too much of a good time, being under legal drinking age, I brought an open beer bottle out when going out with friends. I was ticketed for "person under19 having alcohol" and open alcohol in public. Now it is to my understanding that this is not an indictable crime and shouldn't be in my criminal record. And I have paid my fines. But I have heard that the number of people getting denied of citizenship is on the rise.
So, I am just wondering, am I going to be denied citizenship because of the tickets? FYI, all the other requirements (residency, education, language) shouldn't be a problem. Would they reject me after the interview (where I can prove myself worthy of being a citizen and beg/cry etc.) or would they reject me before even giving me an interview?
Once again, I realize my stupidity and mistake, please be nice

Canada does not accept criminals (which includes terrorists). You are not a criminal. You had the potential to have been prosecuted criminally had you caused a lethal accident due to your condition, but thankfully you didn't. Therefore, you should be in the green zone. At any rate, you'd better submit your citizenship application even if chances were dim. The decision cannot be foretold. But as I said, you should be fine.

Even if it's an indictable offence, you still can apply 3 years after conviction. (I can't remember exactly 3 or 5 years). And DUI is considered indictable, if I'm not mistaken.

I would. It's better to explain the truth than hide it. I highly doubt it will pose any problem.
