Hi Guys I have a question.

I am single and currently in the pool with 453 points. (Completed my masters)

But the only other way now I can increase my points are if I have Canadian experience or learn French.
- Its close to impossible to get a job
- and provincial nominations are all closed

I was wondering what If I do some diploma course in some college in Canada and once after that get a job there, it will help me with the express entry.

now having completed masters is it good to do a diploma? or should I do a post diploma? (I dont know the difference) I am looking to do a cheap course simply to get me into the country. so in any normal "college" is fine

Has anyone tried this method before?

Diploma won't give you any additional points as you already have points for masters. How about Ielts ? Room for improvement ?

Ielts its
R-7.5
W-7.5
S-8.5
L-9

there is not much to gain there - only left is 3 points..!

But doing the diploma will get me in the country. Completing it will help me gain few yrs of stayback. In those few yrs if I get a job and some expereince it will aid my application.

But by that time the rules can change. - but still the general pattern is if you go to canada to study you mostly dont have to come back innit?

Sure you can get admission and get in Canada. But remember that you'll be paying almost $8000 per semester just for tuition fee. Bit expensive. My suggestion is to look into PNP programs. I think NBPNP and PEI PNP are still open.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Yes, of course being a graduate from a Canadian post-secondary institution would help as the government promised to give additional points for Canadian Education;

If you would like a straightforward route, I would advise you to study in Québec as you would be able to apply after you get a qualification from a post-secondary institution in Québec (depending on the no. of hours studied), and on the top of that NO Work Experience is required, French is not compulsory as you can study in English, cost of living is less than Toronto and international students' application are processed within 1 month approximately by Québec immigration I believe; International students are better respected in Québec;

That's a tip I can give you; Many lawyers, consultants and prospective immigrants will not tell you that as it is a straightforward route that they did not take before, feel frustrated and jealous when seeing people take that stream, and after all lawyers and consultants like seeing people taking the complicated route in order for you to come to see them again and again for immigration advice so that they can make lots of money;

It is crystal clear: Why on those immigration website and forum, no one mention that studying in Québec is the easiest route for Permanent Residence (a qualification from a Québec post-secondary institution gives you an automatic route to apply for a CSQ, with a faster processing, after which you can apply for PR to the Federal Government which only review your file in line to ONLY medical and security criteria as Québec already selected you by giving you a CSQ)?

Really???
That is so wrong at so many levels... CSQ is not intended for you to apply more easily for PR in another province. It is intended for you to immigrate and live in Quebec !!! If you plan on living in another province, that is simply not the way.

CSQ is tied to you living in Quebec.
Whether you try to apply for PR in another province with that CSQ, or leave Quebec right after getting PR, you could face some serious problems with immigration !

Those are not "secret easier paths"... That's called cheating !
