Hello!
I heard some good thigs about this forum, so I hope somebody could help me!, I have a question regarding a work permit.
First of all, let me tell you about myself, I'm from Mexico, I lived in the US 20 years, I entered illegally, and a few years later, I tried to legalize my status, I had work permits for about 5 years, at first when I didn't have a work permit I worked at restaurants as a pizza cook and prep, delivery driver, and cashier, then when I got my first work permit, I went to a School of Trucking and got my CDL, class "A", I worked as truck driver for the last 6 years I was in the US, and I coudln't get a green card, 'cause I didn't qualify, according to the Judge, so I was given voluntary departure, but I made a big mistake,... Yes!, I stayed, I didn't leave when I was supposed to, and 2 years later I was arrested by Police Ice at home, and I was deported to Mexico, the same day I was arrested. That was last February 09. So, now I'm willing to get a work visa to Canada, so my question is this, Will the deportation from the US affect my eligibility to get a work visa? Does anyone Know? I will appreciate it so much, if somebody can answer my question.
Thank you.
