At the moment I am unemployed. I wish to apply for NOC 0911. But there is a big career gap.
my employment history below.
-----------------
2004 June: Graduated- Bachelors degree in Engineering
2004 Jul-2007 Jul: Worked as Engineer (3 yrs experience matching NOC 0911)
2007 Aug-2010 May: Student-Graduated- Masters degree in Engineering
2010 April-Present(July2014): Worked at 3 different companies, for total 9 months, with long gaps in between.
-----------------
Will this big career gap during the last 4 years affect my PR application? Or will they only check whether I
meet 67 points? Will the 'unemployed' status have a serious impact in PR decision?
If the career gap does affect the application, how can I cover that up? I mean, if I join a company now, and
show in my application that I am currently working, will that help to reduce the gap-impact?
Note: I know you will ask me, 'why did you sit at home?'. You may not believe, but the truth is I was unable to find a job. The decision to do Masters leaving my job was the stupidest in my life. I graduated during the peak recession time!! It spoiled my career.
