Will a US citizen with a reckless driving charge from 5 yrs ago be denied?

My friend is planning to come to Canada for the first time in 10 years. 4 years ago he was charged with reckless driving. He has no prior charges or charges since. Would he be able to come into Canada for the week or will he be turned away? Does he need to take other steps in the form of a pardon or some other documentation?

He needs to find out what the equivalent charge is in Canada. It's possible he may be inadmissible to Canada.

If he's inadmissible, he will have to apply for rehabilitation once five years passes from the time he completed or paid his penalty. Until rehabilitation is approved, he can't enter Canada.
