Hello Members,

I had applied for a Study Permit to do a IT Course from Humber College (Fall 2020).

However, my Study Permit application was denied (Sep 20) on the grounds that it was not in line with my past education background / work experience. Accordingly, I withdrew from the course.

I applied for Express Entry in Sep 2020 and got an ITA on 25th Nov, 2020. Submitted all the documents required and got the AOR on 16th Dec, 2020.

I have mentioned about the study permit denial in the PR Application, under Statutory Questions.

Can you guys let me know if it will adversely affect my PR application?

There shouldn't be any impact at all.

Thank you!

Also, under the field, "Have you applied for PR previously", the answer is "yes" only if an ITA is received, right? Or would submission of Express Entry profile be considered as application for PR previously?

It should not affect your PR application and as you mentioned you have already disclosed it so no issues. In some cases if there is a visa refusal/denial, the file goes to "Review Required" where they look into details of the refusal/denial but it does not affect your PR application.
