My actual start date of my Canadian experience is 8th February 2015. If i enter the start date of my work experience as January 2015 in my EE profile and because of which if i get an invite in January 2017 but i make sure that i submit my application in March 2017..is this something which is acceptable or will cause rejection? I just want to know if it is acceptable so that i can go ahead with it.

Why would you change this?

Just use February. It could lead to misrepresentation. You started work in Feb. It's very simple.

There is a very good chance that if i do that then it will get me an ITA in January.
I don't want to waste another month just because i did not have proper information.
Just want to know if it is appropriate to do this or not

You can wait one more month or be banned for entry to Canada for 5 years with a permanent mark on any application you might file after that period. Your choice...

You Don't need to change, Based on some thread I have been though people getting points for experience earlier so I believe CIC will give you points for two years in January anyways. Just make sure If you get ITA not to submit e-APR until Feb(or you actually complete two year based on reference letter you are submitting.)

i think its true. a friend landed here in jan 2015 but he got his ITA in december 2016 because his score shot up.

I think the officer can easily connect the dots for keeping it as January if he goes through your case thoroughly. Why risk?

He would be lying in the first place by saying he started working in January when his reference letter will actually show that it was in February.

Not the right approach.

That's what I am saying, keep Feb.

As I have seen many times Work Experience points is granted earlier before you actually complete 2 years, so in OP's case I think he will get 2 years exp. point in Jan itself so he shouldn't change dates in profile to Jan.

I can confirm that my experience has been auto updated to 2 years a while back even though my profile says my start date is Feb 2015.
Looks like CIC does give you the needed Canadian work experience 1 month before. :-)
