hi,

im an indian citizen but now permanent resident in canada since march 1st week.

i found in march end that my wife and one of her frnd who is in canada were planning behind my back that my wife will come to canada on pr after she gets the visa without letting me know. and when i found this chat between her and my wife in dat girl's cellphone. i forwarded it in my email.

my wife is putting a blame on me and one of my cousin that we have taken her passport. where as the fact is we didnt take it.
in that chats with her i said i have submitted her documents in cic for pr file process and in between she said even my passport which i was continuously replying so didnt notice, but i said that see i have submitted ur documents same way mine are also submitted. i never mentioned i have her passport or submitted that to cic.

now my inlaws and my wife are texting me and threatening me that we will file an complaint in india that you took my passport. and issue a new one.

due to this i emailed CIC about it and said that i think my wife is cheating on me and i think she has used me as a medium to get permanent residency. to which they replied that her application is no longer attached to urs and she wont be issued a pr visa any longer.

i've also started to file an divorce from canada itself as well

and also my inlaws were saying that they will ask some of their family member who is in canada to file a complaint against me and my cousin that we have taken her passport...

my question is can their relative file a complaint against me here in cic or police?

It's good that you alerted CIC, but on the legal matters it sounds like you should really consult with a lawyer if you're concerned.

She can't prove you took it, so any complaint wouldn't amount to anything.
