Wife got visa but no work permit?? Please help!!

hello members,
I am in canada on SINP skilled worker, work permit. my wife applied for dependent visa and she got it. but when she landed to toronto airport, she was given a letter looks like work permit but it says " prohibited from engaging emplyment in canada" ?? its also says that " Joining spouse in canada"

my noc code is under "O" "A" or "B". i have a valid work permit along with SINP nomination then how come my wife got visa but its refuse her to engage in employment?

can i apply for work permit now? or what else should i do to get her work permit ? PLEASE HELP

i think ur wife has been given a visitor record. u can still apply for her wp.

Hi All..Same case with my wife as well .. Even though i have valid work permit but She got VISA but no work permit .. Can somebody suggest what is process to apply and processing time to get WP.

i called my consultant, (he is based in canada), he said i have to apply to vegreville,AB for her work permit, sort of change of status, it takes 10-14 days and application fee is $150.

hi, i didnt show any fund for my wife. i think its visitor visa but you also have to send the copy of your work permit and marriage certificate.

I had the same problem.
I applied WP for my wife on-line by paying the 150 CAD .

She got her work permit now .

is it still we need to apply for VISA stamping for Work permit VISA.

She got Visitor visa stamp on her passport and asked her to travel back after 6 months of stay at canada.

Did you send by yourself or you used some representative/agent. Actually I am thinking to apply myself. Is it ok or should I talk to some agent?

i used my agent didnt wanna take any chance, but you can apply by yourself its no big deal
