I wasnt sure where to post and ask this question..I daughter has a horse we are moving to canada in the next year if all goes okay..we want the horse to go over now to my boy friends home..we there every wkend anyhow..i have all the horse paper work tp bring him across but am I allowed to let him live in canada until we move to?what do I telling them we are doing at border?..they have been on me about moving there and one time they even pulled me in for alot of questions cause i had 2folding chairs to sit on for an outside get together..please help if u or anybody u know been through this..thank u

Oh - and I don't think you can move the horse to Canada until you are allowed to live in Canada permanently. If you want the horse to move earlier, you'll probably have to legally sell/transfer him to your boyfriend.
 
i kinda thought so,but if i give him the horse will we have to pay taxes or duty or something on horse?

i went to link..found phone number called and they got me through to right people in gan ON..the horse can live in canada what i will need is a fedral vet check him out and sign paper work that horse is healthy :D..thank u all..I am glad I joined this forum
