So i applied in April 2019. I didn't pay the RFPR fee. Passed medicals in may 2019. Received three ghost updates in total. Yesterday, I received a request to pay the RFPR fee in ONE WEEK. I thought to myself that they must have completed my eligibility, hence why they are now asking for the RFPR fee. So after paying the fee I called CIC. The REP was so rude......Anyway......... she told me my eligibility is in Review Required. why have they contacted me to pay the money if they have not yet found me eligible?

You actually believed the customer representative? They are useless
1. They could be wrong
2. There is no relation between RPRF fee and your eligibility being passed. You could be review required and still asked to pay the fee
3. Review Required doesn't mean you are not eligible. It just means a further review is required.
4. Yes in further review subsequently you may be found ineligible.
5. In case 4 above your RPRF fee will be refunded.
6. I really doubt given the timelines these days your file has actually been evaluated for eligibility.
7. You have two options call again after few weeks and / or order GCMS notes to know for sure what is happening with your file.
