Why wait copr so long time?

Hi,All,I am new here. My situation: I'm BCPNP class and appllied PR on Dec. 2014 outland and May 2016 I've got ppr email and sent my passport to ottawa cic at 15 May.(I'am now
with work permit working in Canada). At June cic ask me do reassessment(Because of my physical examination expired at July 2016.My son and wife not required).
I've finished it at the end of June.But no any information from there.And i sent email to cic ask status got no respond. Does anybody know what situation my application in?
I don't understand why cic need so long time to issue me copr?

Thanks for your response anmolbhullar, It's a hard time for my family to waiting for COPR. Especially at the very end stage.
