Ok since you have posted here i believe you are not going thru any immigration lawyer.
Keep checking the E-cas quite often (check your status online ). Check your Sponsor approval it will tell you how to check for the same.
You have to search with applicant's (that is you) name , dob and details.

Check you and your husband's emails ( also junk folder).
Email your VO once in 2~ 3 months to make sure they have got all what they need ( sometimes they send letter thru post and it could get missed). If they need any further documents send them quickly

This way u can assure it does not further delay process.

i'm checking ecas with my details & my client ID. it shows now "application received" for my PRV. & I just want to ask you that
whether its ok if I email them often?
to what email address I have to send an email?
if you can & if you are ok can u plzzzzz write down what i have to write & ask them(cic)? plzzzz write them through a personal msg & send it to me (if you go to my profile you can see the way to send a personal msg. i think you may know that)
thnx dear for sharing all of these & make us comfortable

Hi Eagle333
thnx for the reply. my husband told if we call & call & call & ask them all the time, they will delay the procesing. so we waited till one year finished. then started calling. then only they started to process it, & then again they told that there are some incomplete application & asked us to fill them & send them back with a new medical & new police report.
we sent & contacted the MP there. after about 4 months it was done & sponsorship was approved. & sent my application to my country to process for the PRV. & again they asked me to send another police report as the earlier one may be expired & our communication details with each other , my children's birth certificates. all what i've sent them earlier. but i sent them back to them. but its not yet "in process". still "application received" for the PRV. we are praying the god to make all these go on right soon to let us live together. thnx
...

Hi gango gilr

I want to tell you something that you should not forget in life. Everyone was born on a specific sign and you are special and exceptional in your case. There is a day, time, minutes and a second appointed for CIC to call your sponsorship to a close and give you a positive result. Trust me that some day we shall meet here in Canada. Don't be negative because it is not a good thing but put on a smile even if things go wrong. There is one person who is above CIC and that is God keep your mind positive you will smile very soon.

You don't want to be emailing them too often. Every few months, as mickeyindia said, is good for now while you are still within processing times. You would need to send a Case Specific Enquiry by going to this page https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=colombo. You enter all of your information, name, DOB, file number etc.

For now, you could say something like "Hello. My application was submitted Oct, 2010. Stage 1 took 18 months instead of a only 2; our family has been separated for over 2 years already. Also, I'm worried that I will have to re-submit the medical and police certificates again. Could you please tell me the current status of my application? Thank you very much."

thank you sooo much canuck, i just want ask you now if the cic has told for some people that

"We received your application to sponsor XXXX XXXX on September 14, 2012.
We started processing your application on November 1, 2012.
We sent you a letter on November 21, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. "

and for some people

"We received your application for permanent residence on November 18, 2011.
We started processing your application on September 3, 2012.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision"

what is the different between these two?
"We sent you a letter on November 21, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."
means they have already made a decision & given the visa?
And,
"A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision"
means they have not given the visa & need an interview?

plzzzzzzzzzzzz I need everybody's comments who knows about these situations. if you have these experience with you, don't forget to share your experience with us plzzzzz.........
thnx

The first one is about Stage 1 and means that the SPONSOR HAS BEEN APPROVED and the file can be transferred to the regional office for the APPLICANT to be processed.

The second one is about Stage 2 and means that the APPLICANT HAS BEEN APPROVED. There is no interview required and the visa can be issued.

Your husband is the SPONSOR.

You are the APPLICANT.

Please note: At the time of your appointment, you and your family members, if any, will be required to present the original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration Centre. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be
made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your passport or identity documents."

our case was denied. We had to appeal in Toronto (28 month wait) We won.....now waiting for processing once again. We just heard from the Embassy in Mexico (Im Canadian) Immigration consultants telll me, we should be finished this nightmare by the summer. (Im not holding my breath) Next week is 4 years since we first sent in our application. Unfortunately, if you need to appeal, there are long wait times. Many of us had to wait 4 -5 years. The end is near....I can feel it !!!! Im off to see my partner once again. Hey, such fun seeing him and then saying goodbye. Every now and then I need to pinch myself to see if its the real me.

Thankfully, I have some close friends that have helped a lot and of course this forum as well !

the problem is,,,,,,some of the frauds are processed fast while the honest ones wait and wait ! The system is broken. Even PM Harper has said it. All that is required is to hire more VO- add the cost to the landing package-thus no effect on Canadian taxpayer. Common sense-is not so common ! 8)
