Why so many delays?

Hi,
My wife and I applied last November for my PR from within Canada.. Since than, we didn't get any answers from CIC other than that our file has been received. Could anyone tell us why are they delaying the process so much? I don't think that it's only because of the number of files they get. At least they could let us know something on their web site.

Did you apply inland or Outland?

I am sure a senior member will chime in....but what I have heard is that the inland process appears to be a much longer process.

It's sort of like the opposite of `Dog Years'.

You know how your dog may be 5 years old...but in dog years s/he's really 35 years old (7 years for every 1).

Well, it seems as though CIC works the opposite of that, where for every 7 months, they process 1 month's worth of applications. LOL!

Just kidding CIC (because we all know you're watching these threads).


Seriously though, the Inland process has always been slower than Outland. The processing times are always changing.
 
Inland is a VERY long wait! We applied October of last year :S
