BC has the mildest climate in Canada,It has a multi-ethnic community,It has one of the Strongest Economies in Canada,It has a incredibely fast processing time for Immigrant Applications to the BC PNP,Some people are reporting 13 days,20 days for PR Nomination within Canada and 5-6 Weeks for those outside Canada,Yes this is another message from the Province.Immigrate to the Best Place on Earth,We want Immigrants

Why can't BC start something like AINP-SRS. I am sure you will get the immigrants that way.

Yep - I second bendjoe suggestion. I bet if BC has the same H1B SRS program, TONS of ppl would apply!

BCGuy,

Don't worry ... sooner your going to see flood of immigrants, I can bet 20-30% of ppl which have applied via AINP SRS will end up in BC. :)

That is true. The milder climate part is tempting, last week or the one before Alberta had a summer snow storm.

Just from a job point of view, are there plenty of jobs currently available in BC? I was under the impression that the economy has reduced the number of available jobs in Canada. Isn't that the reason Alberta reduced the occupations for their H1B based program?

Please clarify if the situation in BC is different.

Thanks.

plenty...lol.......

but ontario's provincial nomination is nt bad too, i applied as an international student, my whole process took just 125 days from sending papers to cic buffalo to getting p.r. :)

if BC allows me to stay there, I would; currently I need to get a job first to go to BC; & the 2 employers who have contacted me want to knowmy work-eligibility first. Kind of a chicken-egg situation!
BTW, what is a cost of a single family home in BC?

I think AB reduced the occupations because they got flooded by these particular occupations until they decided they don't need them any more.

I tried to seek for a job in BC and most of the HR personnel call me and made a preliminary interview... First question, What is your Status in the US? I told them that I am an H1b and need sponsorship and immediately close the conversation and said sorry we wont sponsor for now.

Heard there might be earthquakes there :((
