Why only 3500+ profiles get picked up in each draw?

I've been observing since so many years why only ~3500 profiles have been picked up in each draw, whereas the number of people who would have applied for Express Entry would be lot more. Could some one throw some light on this?

By limiting the number of invitations that they issue in each draw, they both make their system more selective by only inviting the most qualified candidates, as well as prevent themselves from becoming overburdened with applications during a given period of time. That way they can ensure that they can process the applications that they receive in a timely manner. They also only want to invite a certain number of people per year, so it is most fair if they spread their desired number of invitations out throughout the year so that they offer highly qualified candidates opportunities regardless of when they apply. Any selective system is designed so that they receive more applicants than they will approve. It is very logical.

So you mean they should just accept anyone who enters the pool? Really?

That’s not correct here are rounds of invitations over the last few years, check the number of people they have invited in each

And as @mr.preetsingh rightly said, blunt but so true... they hand pick people based on the countries needs and demography...

Do you not have the logic to answer your own question? You think any country could last very long if it opened itself to that many immigrants?
I didn't mean that Canada should allow million people in a single draw, that would be blatantly stupid. I was curious on what happens to others who have the same CRS score. Obviously there would be more than 3500+ who would have been in the pool with similar score.

You really have to work on your phrasing, because I can see that you're not bad when it comes to vocab.

If it was just a question of setting up a CRS to hit, then this whole system would be redundant. But they decided to go with this sysyem, which gives them some interesting diversity.
