Hi,

I applied for my wife's trv. The type was multiple entry but duration i mentioned was for 3 months only. But strangely she has been asked for a medical. As per on there website it clearly states that if your visit duration is less than 6 months no medical is required. I am a bit confused by this

Bud, I think you posted this before. I'm in the exact same situation. My situation is a little diferent because I had just got medical done for PR application in May so I emailed CHC islamabad and asked them to use the medical from PR application. They replied saying that it's fine they'll use that medical. That was on Wednesday.
And just now I got an email from myCIC asking for original passport.

congrats bro for that.....yes i had asked this before but i am still confused about this.....why for some TRV app's they ask for medical and for some they dont....

It also happened to my mom application for TRV. The Canada Embassy in Manila asked her to undergo Medical Examination. I dont why? Any idea guys whats happening right now. We need some Help

Thanks

Hi toronto30

Are your Mom is from the Philippines aswell? When did ahe applied? My mom timeline is here can you post yours please.

July 5th- Application Received at VFS manila
July 26th- Mesical Request Received By VFS MANILA

i dont know why she asked for ME since she only apply for regular Visit Visa
Do you think that maybe she can get a Super Visa instead of Regular Visitors Visa?
Can someone please share their opinion to this matter?

Thanks

Hi Klitz24
my mom is from Bangladesh, applied online for TRV 30 June and received ME request today. Thanks

It says
If you plan to visit for six months or less:
You generally do not require a medical exam, unless you plan to work in certain occupations (see below).
That's not the same as "never". I think it will depend on the risk factors for a particular application.

@Zardoz
Yeah i know but right now i dont know why she asked for ME.She just put the period time of 6 months duration of visit in the application form since it was the longest period you can get for the regular Visit Visa.

@Toronto30

Is that the only instruction she received from the Visa Office? Just undergo ME?

Thanks guys!

It could depend on where she lives, her age, her travel history etc. As it's been requested, you really only have two choices. Withdrawal of the application or proceeding with the Medical Examination.

Hi Klitz24
I do not know all of them, she has it, think there are something else as well, background checks ....I will let you know more later. thanks
