Hello guys I am applying student visa with my spouse too. I am filling this question regarding spouse. I would like to apply for TRV initial . what will be the correct option ? is it visit- all other type ?

work open work permit if he does not have a written job offer in canada

they are your dependents they will get resident visa automatically

for your son you can put visit all other type as he will be definitely joining a school and he does not a require a study permit on visit visa as a dependent
for your daughter i would say leave it blank and if you cant just put the same visit all other type these fields are pretty self explanatory i am sure it wont matter that much what you put in there for your spouse however make sure you choose open work permit

yes she cant just go there for no reason she has to have a reason and open work permit is the only legit reason you can give and also she does not need to necessarily work she just needs to have a an open work permit to stay in canada

So have you got a visa yet? Was that advice useful for you? I mean to choose 'work with open permit' rather than
visit -tourism or visit- all other type

I haven't applied yet and I'm going to apply for "visit- all other type" because there is not a good reason to pay CAD 155 more when spouse won't work in Canada.

Applying for renewal visa of my mom as her passport recently expired. She is primary applicant and my wife is 2ndry. My sister stays in Canada and is a PR there. Now I don't know in my wife's case it's asking for this Q'n (Why is your family member visiting Canada?) and should i choose visit tourism (considering the current scenario) or visit - all other types. Pls help.
