Why is my application not online yet?

Application received Dec 7th and got approved to sponsor on dec 16th
They asked for a new passport and by january they wrote that all was in order with the documents and to await processing.

Is that the reason why nothing is online yet?
How long can it take before they start processing?
Its at the mexico office (husband is Dominican)

I am going through the same thing right now!
My husband is also Dominican
Application sent December. Finally was able to access ecas Jan 20 and it said decision made under sponsor. I went to visit my husband for a few days and came back and had sponsor approval in the mailbox. Said it was sent to Mexico office. Hubby also got letter in mail later that week that said link account online but it only had application number on letter and no UCI.

I have been trying every single day to link mycic and no luck. I was told as well that it takes a month or two for Mexico to acknowledge that they have your file and are working on it.

When can I log into eCAS to see my application status?

If you receive AOR, then usually 2-3 days after you receive it you are able to log into ECAS. Otherwise 2-3 days after you receive sponsor approval.
NB, if you have had previous dealings with CIC (e.g., you previously had an IEC) and already have a UCI then you may be able to log in before SA even without AOR. But it's trial and error as it just depends when CIC uploads your file to ECAS.

eCAS isn't letting me log in. Why not?

If you have already received AOR or sponsor approval, then you should be able to log in within 2-3 days. You may have to try different combinations of file number, UCI, and so on. In addition, if it's the principal applicant trying to log in, be sure they are selecting England/Scotland/etc as their place of birth, and NOT United Kingdom. (Yeah, we know, we know.)

There have also been a few isolated reports of people needing to include the hyphen in their UCI number in order to log in. You shouldn't need to include it, but if you are getting errors, then give that a shot.

Received my approval to sponsor way back in december
I have both an application number and an UCI number, received a few emails correspondance already from CIC last one was in January to confirmed they got all the documents and to wait for processing
I can login fine, i use my scotia account to login...
But it cannot find my file with the UCI and the F000 file number

I ended up filling the form online to contact them and asked them why
Will see what they say

Oh the site does not take the hyphen. Tried that.

It is online i found it today
It says In Progress and had the reception date
Correspondence date from CIC and reception of his medical.
I wonder how long it takes from there to be processed, anyone know?
