Greetings,

My name is Jimmy and I'm an international student. I just graduated from university (5-year undergrad) this summer and applied the Post-Grad Work Permit in May 2017. Today I got an update from CIC that my work permit application has been approved. However, the expiry date of the work permit is 2019/04/20, which is not 3 years. This does not make sense... So I'm wondering what I should do now to have CIC revise my application and change it to a 3-year work permit?

Thanks so much for the help!

Jimmy

A few posts on this for example http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/pgwp-extension.275767/

First of course you need to renew your passport which I suspect if like some countries you maybe cannot do that until next year, but every country is different.

I get the impression that extending is usually not an issue just filling in the form and getting it processed is. Plus if on paper current processing is approx 4 months wait time.
