Why I am not eligible as per CIC?

Hello,

Could you help in understanding my situation. I received a message from CIC which says I am not eligible but I think I am eligible.

You are not eligible for Express Entry. Reasons you would not be eligible for Express Entry include:

• not having a valid language test

I took IELTS

• language test results that are more than two years old

I took IELTS last month i.e. March 2015

• a language test score that is too low

S=7.5
R=7
L=8
W=6.5

I think CIC needs a minimum of 6 in each skill

• not having enough relevant work experience

In last 10 years I have worked under NOC 2173 Software Engineer. I mentioned all this in my EE profile. Even if you combine months of my experience it would be more than 5 years.

I think CIC needs only 1 year of relevant experience.

I completed 4 years B.E. Engineering Education (Mechanical)

• not having enough funds
I have 4 dependents and I have $CAN 20K

Where is the problem? Why I am ineligble?

For a Family of 5, Funds required is $25,145 (canadian dollors)

I am assuming that you are done with your WES Educatioanl Credential Evaluation. If not you have to do it so that points will get added accordingly.

Just $20k is not enough.

Can I update funds in Personal Details form? Its status is Transmitted and CIC website does not let me enter new funds and text box is disabled.

Is there a way to update?

Actually, you even need $25,145.

I read your post too quickly, but just now realised that you have four dependents, so you are a family of five.

Is there a button to update funds in Transmitted/Submitted Express Entry profile?

I believe you need to recreate a new EE profile.. As far as I heard, Ineligible profiles can't be updated..

No, you can print the old profile and enter it again, but same effort.

I don't think so.. You may need to input all values all over again..

I believe you need to recreate a new EE profile.. As far as I heard, Ineligible profiles can't be updated..

Why is it that Ineligible profiles can't be updated? There must be a way to make them eligible
