hello everyone,

What I am trying to do its put this puzzle together and maybe figure out a pattern for people receiving RQs.

Can everyone who got RQd please share if these things applied to them?

1. Did you have a lot of travel in the last 4 years?
2. Did you miss mentioning any of your absences/land border crossings ?
3. Did you have all the supporting documents the application requires?
4. Did you have a valid PR card, (renewed)
5. Did your application have that option for them to fetch the list of absences directly? Coz RQ has an option for that, if you already had ticked yes then its quite useless for them.

Thanks everyone.
Hope it benefits all on this forum.

I completed my 1,095 days for the past four years before applying for citizenship. But before that I am always travelling back to our country.

I am not sure if you are aware of this info: http://residencequestionnaire.wordpress.com/rq-risk-indicators/

It is the risk indicator checklist that CIC workers go through, as of late 2012, to decide if an applicant gets an RQ or not. The information comes from an ATIP (Access To Information and Privacy act) request by Akella.

why unemployment or self employment with travel is a problem?what if we show our bank account during that travel and unemployment was enough for the travel?i do not understand why CIC has random and these conditions to give RQ that is not fair,if somebody was in canada,so he was and he gave all his document to prove, why we can consider these conditions as official criteria for receiving RQ?

the new applications have a section where you can provide permission for them to directly get your exit/entry info from CBSA. I am not sure when that form into place but that what I see now and used.

This is exactly what I am trying to figure out, is there a pattern for people receiving RQ's

Hope everyone can contribute and may be we can figure out

I know right.. whats even more absurd is - going to home country to sell of property- selling off property means you are actually making canada your home and do not intend to relocate after citizenship. Giving RQ to such a person counters CICs theory.

thanks for pointing it out again. Yes I have seen that before. However, I am just wondering is it with the old forms or the new ones too? With the older forms CIC relied on what applicants disclosed as their absences and the maximum they could do was check passports etc. With the new forms having entry/exit options I think they can just check absences through an objective source.

CIC should exactly and officially mention what criteria will lead to get RQ,otherwise they are playing with people's time with delays and backlog.almost people who want to send application like me in a few weeks are completely confuse that what can make them a candidate for RQ,and that is by CIC mysterious and unclear policy

I think it's in the nature of a citizenship application to make it impossible to specify those criteria. An applicant is issued an RQ if their physical presence in, and/or ties to, Canada are deemed to be in question by the case processor and since no two applications are alike, no two reasons for issuing an RQ are.

Watching all these posts I have no doubt that some half educated stupids are now running the show of CIC and they think that they can make people's life measurable by doing this. In a first world country it is no big deal to be 100% confirmed about a person whether he or she has fullfill the criteria (residence requirement).
