Even though the age factor received 0 points (51 years of age)...the overall preliminary points is 79.

Over 6 years of work experience - 15 points
Canadian schooling of 2 years as post-secondary
Advanced level of English - 22 points
Canadian school - 10 points for Adaptability
Job Offer - 10 points

The candidate should have been eligible for Express Entry, no? Even though the CRS score was around 370...

Welcoming all guidance!

IELTS scores per band? Job offer has LMIA? Education - 19 points? Canadian studies is 5 points.

Thank you for the prompt response! :)

IELTS - 9 in speaking 9 in reading and 8 in listening and 8 in writing.
Job offer is from PGWP -- no LMIA required -- from the graduated schooling

Education - 2 years post secondary - 19 points, yes.

No point for a job offer on a PGWP unless your employer obtains an approved LMIA.

So he doesn’t have 67 points. He needs a LMIA to count the 10 points (having a PGWP with job offer gives no points; see all scenarios on the eligibility page) and only 5 points for Canadian education (not 10). He then has 61 points by my calculations. Does he have no Canadian work experience?

Thank you for your reply.
He has 1 year of work experience through the PGWP.
Should he ask his employer to get the LMIA even though he has been working with them for 1 year?

What is the NOC? Employer has to repost the job on JobBank and 2 other sites and prove no one in Canada can do the job. Employer has to meet eligibility requirements and pay $1k to file.

NOC is 10010 - financial manager.
Right...kind of annoying though even though he has been working for the employer for 1 year.

So look at PNP program that isn't tied to Express Entry then. Improve IELTS to 24 points or learn French.

If he wants the 50 points, then his employer needs to get an approved LMIA.
