Hi everybody,

I created my express entry profile recently. I expected a crs of 468 based on this tool: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

And when I created my express entry profile, my score was calculated as 468 prior to draw by cic too.
I got invitation to apply today but interestingly my point went up to 491. What might be the reason for this sudden increase ? Given that cut-off in this draw was way below 468, I hope it won't be an issue even if cic increased my crs accidentally.

By the way, I compared cic calculation against crs-tool result.
In cic's calculation, I got 11 and 12 more points for these two categories respectively:
CRS – Human Capital – Canadian Work Experience (46 vs 35 from tool)
CRS – Skill Transferability – Education (50 vs 38 from tool)

I am not certain why though...

Did you take both Tef and ielts or Celpip? If so, did you switch which language was first and second by any chance? Or did you go from 29 to 30 yo? Just guessing...

To take issue slightly with dan_and, it's not a problem only if you would have been invited even without the extra points. If a person accepts an ITA which they wouldn't have received unless IRCC miscalculated work experience points, he or she will be held responsible for misrepresenting their points.
