Why did CIC slow down recently share your Opinion

I agree. Besides, even if you assume that targets have been reached, they will simply resume providing visas for the rest of this year's approved applicants against the new targets.

Whatever the deal is with CIC but applicant ought to deserve an email from CIC stating the current situation...

I Believe it could have finished up the 2014 quota since now under CEC u need to have only 1 year canadian experience.

There will be more applicants under CEC since required experience is only 1 year since 2013, previously required exp was 2 years.

Well I dont think so In NOV 2013 - Cap was 12000 only few thousand applications were received , and in may when its was set to 8000 till now its close to 3k . Guys please avoid blind speculations and any avoid spreading rumours . No body knows about this quota thing neither CIC confirmed anything on its site. Sit tight and believe in God , May all what they are looking for should get it ASAP.

SInce Jan 2013 CEC reduced it to 1 year

So total qualified to apply undr CEC in year 2013 increased drasticaly as compared to year 2012 that might have caused the quota to get full.

make me think that way , My friend , Where quota got full ? Its on any CIC site ? Any CIC official told you ? Did you got a mail , Your medicals and RPRF is done , Please wait for next year to get PPR ? Don't you think when they will reduce the year What CIC intention would be ? , To get more PRs r8t ?

Take note that the applications received this year (esp from the May 2014 cap) will have visas issued for these counting against the 2015 targets since it takes ~13 months to process.

hello guys. What u think cic counting at the final step how many visas they have to issued. They are very smart they calculate whn they receive the application. It will be fast in ist week of september. Dont stress , it will be fine . Good luck to everbody

I guess CIC is busy with study permit for international students in summer so other kinds of applications might be delayed. And furthermore, different visa offices may have different timelines. Ottawa may be the fastest one. Since my visa office is in Beijing, I have not received MR and any other requests till now.

Did anyone notice any signs of people back to work at CIC? Heard from someone in Toronto that CIC laid off many officers recently, not sure how true this is, did anyone else hear something like this?
