Why am I asked for IMM5406,Additional Family Info?

I only applied for myself through express entry, I'm single and my parents are outside Canada, and I don't aply for them, also I'm the single child. I won't take any family members to Canada.
I got invitation in July and submitted all documents on August.
Today I got informed to submit IMM5406, just curious why?
Has anyone got same requirement in this step?

It's a mandatory form. It doesn't matter if your family isn't coming with you. You are extremely lucky your app did not get rejected ad incomplete.

Hey did that worked? I am in the same situation. what did you do finally? also can u scan and sign the form?
