Whose visa office is Beijing?

Hi, friends. When I submitted my CEC application, I already left Canada for 7 months. Thus, when I filled in the application form, I chose Beijing, China, as the visa office to process my application.

However, currently, I find that my application has been delayed for about 1 month since I am still waiting for MR. I do not know whether Beijing visa office has a slower timeline for CEC applicants.

If your CEC application is also processed in Beijing, please share your experience and timeline with me. Thanks a lot!

All the applications are received by Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia (Canada), no matter what visa office you mention in your application! Although the only last step (visa stamping) takes place at the country you are residing in, and this is of course if you ask for it. Otherwise you will need to send your passport to Ottawa for visa stamping.

All the applications are processed in Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia (Canada), no matter what visa office you mention in your application! Although the only last step (visa stamping) takes place at the country you are residing in, and this is of course if you ask for it. Otherwise you will need to send your passport to Ottawa for visa stamping.

In my view, the office in Sydney only collects the files and then they will send them to special visa office to process.

Yeah that would be Case Processing Center Ottawa. Still in Canada!

In my view, the office in Sydney only collects the files and then they will send them to special visa office to process.

It doesn't matter what office you put in your application, it's received in Sydney and then sent to Ottawa. Everyone under the CEC system is processed at the same office.

Finally, I received a reply from Beijing and it proofs that my files are processed in Ottawa. :
