I lost my real younger brother last year. Now, I want to help his widowed wife to emigrate to Canada with their two young sons. I, with my immediate family, am myself a PR and am based in Toronto.

She is making just 65 points as per the new guidelines and needs just two points to succeed. Will she get 5 points of having me (her Brother-in-law i.e. her husband's real elder brother) as a relative in Canada ? Most of my related family is settled in Canada.

Kindly advise me.

The list of relatives is provided here:

Unfortunately you do not qualify as a family member of your widowed sister-in-law. In order to qualify as a family member, your brother would still have to be alive and be accompanying your sister-in-law to Canada.

Sorry.
