Who pays the fee for Spousal Sponsorship Fees?

Hi,

I am trying to sponsor my wife to get her PR. For the payment it ask to log in to CIC account. So who should log and and do the payment? Sponsor or the sponsored person?

I know that we need to print the receipt but does it matter who pays it?

Not yet. we prepared all the document to mail them. everything except the payment.
it is going to be a submission by paper.

I was the sponsor and I paid, but I can't imagine they care as long as they get the correct amount.

The fees can be paid by the sponsor, principal applicant, or any other person. CIC does not care.
