Hello again guys.

Since you used Special Category in IT. Did you ever had an LMO when you applied for work permit?

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks!

LMO is not required for special category IT professionals WP...

Wow! Excellent! Work permits without LMO! But why do we hear about so many high-tech job seekers getting rejected by HRSDC? Why do their prospective employers bother trying to get the job offers approved by HRSDC? I mean, majority of those job offers are for software positions! Don't people (employers and employees) know that LMO can be waived for those software positions?

Confused, I am. :(

check this...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-permit.asp

I went under " workers transferring within a company" so did not need an LMO. But, non engineering grads who needs to be sent to Canada for work from my company do actually need an LMO.

Am sure, the exact criteria for exemption would be known to CHC ND...

Great aanbaan, so any engineer applying for a software position (regardless of whether it's an intra-company transferee or new employee) may not need an LMO.

yahoo.
