Ok they are saying they have received the payment. They have acknowledged your dd but did you check when it encash in your bank.

And you mentioned you sent your application to NS opn 22th of August-09 but when exactly it received by NS?

guess we have to wait till 1st week of November to have an update as of today still my dd stands unpaid........

Probably from now on till the end of December i guess the process would be slow due to year end breaks or vacations and festive season......

looks like ARK is right, mid august filers didnt get their AOR..

I have a question about the initial response from CIO. Does the AOR mean the initial approval of our application or it is just a standard procedure?

The above link give Buffalo office specific instructions. Read through and collect the necessary documents. You still have time as your are yet to get your AOR.

A little update

I called the bank today and found out that my bank draft was cashed out. A little positive sign....

Application Received CIO,NS - Not sure
Bank Draft Cashed out ------29th Oct 2009
AOR from CIO, NS - WAITING
