She should bring a bit of her meds with her in her luggage, maybe a 3 month dose so she can show them to the doctor in Canada. They will be able to see on the package what is the active ingredient and give her something similar even if it is called something else.

You can apply for a visit visa for your father right away if you want to but there is no guarantee he will get one.

You can apply to sponsor him once you have shown that you make enough money to support yourself, spouse, dependent children of your own as well as your father.

You can not sponsor your brothers children under the federal system because they are not orphans since their mother is still alive. If you are living in certain provinces where there is a family stream, you may be able to sponsor them later when they are grown up if all requirements are met.

thanks a lot Leon, you have cleared many doubts. Will it make it easier to get Visitor Visa for my father if he shows enough funds for his expenses and actually carry the same to Canada while visiting me. Will that help? he has around CAD 10000 equivalent money in his accounts in India.

thanks a lot Leon. if i can ask u some more, will it not be sufficient that my late brother's family is back in India and he has small business here? also he has property worth more than CAD 2 Millions in his name. will that be sufficient to show his ties with the homeland? and if he receives visa can i file for family class sponsorship at the same time while he will be visiting me in Canada?

I can not tell you what is enough. The embassy will have to tell you that. If he has a business he can say he needs to get back to, that will definitely help.

You can file for his sponsorship while he is visiting. If he wants to stay longer, you can apply to extend his visit visa when it's about to expire.
