While waiting for cancellation of the old application, can I submit a new one?

Hi guys.

After receiving an ITA and submitting all the documents, I realized I had to cancel my application because it had an error in it.
I filled in the form and sent a request to cancel my old application.
So in the meantime, I created a new EE profile and again got an ITA. When filling in the info, I mentioned that I previously applied for PR.

My question is, can I go ahead with my new profile even though the cancellation of the old one hasn't happened yet?
I have been waiting for some time for the old profile to be cancelled, but I would really like to proceed with my new application and submit it asap.

I know you are not supposed to have 2 EE profiles at the same time, but I figured it is okay since I applied for one of them to be removed.

Thanks for the reply, but, unfortunately, can't do that since I am in the US.
It's only possible to call them if you're in Canada.
