Which way is better to apply?! Confused!

Hey!
I'm currently residing in Canada, just got married and planning to apply for Permanent residence. My question is: which way is better to apply from within of Canada or from outside? Application from outside of Canada takes less time to be processed that's why I was considering this option. But is it legal to do so if I'm staying and working in Canada?
I'm from Ukraine if it makes any difference..

yes it is perfectly acceptable to do this. many applicants do this to avoid applying inland. outland is not necessarily based on where you currently are living, it is based on your country of citizenship.

If you have legal status now (and can maintain it during the Outland process), you can apply now. If you do not...you should file an Inland application and hope that you're allowed to remain in Canada during the process.

my status expires on December, 18 2015. Is it better to do inland in this case?

This is the thing, I was making the same decision and I was under the impression that my sponsored spouse can stay in Canada the whole time by renewing the visitor status, but it looks like there is no guarantee on that.

I will be screwed if the renewal is not approved.

visitor extensions are very rarely denied when a pr application is already submitted, or you can prove intent by showing PR fees paid prior to submitting. i'm not sure where you are gtting the idea that your visitor visa extension would be rejected? i have yet to read a case where an outland applicant was rejected an extension.

well, is that based on the stats online or what the current "trend" is on this forum? have you been able to find a thread specific for that visa office? generally, right now most visa offices are processing applications in less time than what is posted on the website. of course it's impossible to determine if this trend will continue.

if it were me, i'd go outland. considering dec 2015 is more than 13 months away, it is very likely you will not run into issues with your current work permit expiring before approval. you will be able to travel freely while your app is processing. the only "risk" is needing to fly back to your home country IF an interview is requested. as i am not familiar with the trends of your visa office, i do not know how often kiev waives interviews. since you have legal status until dec. 2015, the only downside to leaving for an interview is the cost associated with it. since you have legal clearance to work in canada, you won't have issues getting back in.

I was worried that if I submit the outland PR application first, and my wife's visitor status would expire shortly after. If the renewal is not approved, she will have to go back to her home country to wait.

So I am doing the other way, renew the visitor status first and if it gets approved, we'll submit the outland PR application, and she will have usually/at least 6 months to stay in Canada.

If an interview is required and the applicant needs to fly back to the home country for a few days. Could the applicant go right back to Canada after the interview (before the PR is approved)? Does the CBSA usually let the applicant come in when they see the applicant only left a few days ago?
