Now what matters is you Statement of Purpose including your research intentions and why you want to join that xyz institute.
Also, your reference letters hold greater importance. You need to provide usually 2 or sometimes 3 reference letters depending on which university you are applying in. Your TOEFL or IELTS scores must be good.
I guess, if you can manage to provide these stuff, you can get the admission. Hope for the best. There is nothing to worry about. Just go ahead and apply!

You can apply in both university or college but I would suggest you to apply in some college for PG program. Your chances of acceptance would be more.
