hi all,

ia m curious to know "which provinces in canada provide healthcare insurance from day one".

also if u do landing in one province and go back and move in after one year to the same province will i be covered from day one also.

should i do first landing in alberta or anywhere else. also if i land in toronto and then come back and finish my contract of one year and move to alberta , will i be covered from first day also.

As far as I know, all provinces provide 1st day coverage when moving from abroad except: ON, BC, NB and QC.

I know that Alberta would give you first day coverage even if you had landed in Toronto a year earlier. I know this because there was a discussion on here a while back about a similar case and after some people insisted that Alberta would not give first day coverage because the people had landed in another province and stayed there for a couple of weeks or a month before going back home and wanting to come back to Canada a year later, I actually phoned Alberta health and asked them and they said no problem. If you have specific interest in some province more than another, I suggest you phone their health care and ask how it works.

Alberta and Manitoba provides coverage from day one.

Dear seniors
If some one with PR wants to bring his/her parents for 6 months; would they have any medical insurance? If not what would be the alternative?
Thx
