Which one comes first the background check or the test invite? And which one is better?
I see people who got the test invite before the background and some the other way around.

what is the difference between the two ways.

It depends on which office is processing your case. Montreal usually sends test invite first and processes background after. Vancouver/West processes background first if available, else sends FP request and Test invite simultaneously.

I don't know if there is one that is better... It depends on the operations manual that is not made public yet

I didn't realize that there were more than one way that IRCC handles applications.

My case is being worked on by the Scarborough office. My background check was completed in late July 2022 and I didn't receive test invite until early November 2022.
