Which NOC code to use(0213 or 2173)

Hi reachsky, I would completely agree with the lawyer wrt NOC codes. That is what i will do.
You need to write down the correct designation and duties from what your employer gives.

My situation:
i was a S/w engineer (NOC code 2173) from Oct 2009 to April 2011. From May 2011 till date, i am a delivery project manager (NOC code 0213)
I wrote this very clearly in my letter and also my employment letter and duties matches.
But according to my WP: its 9999 from October 2009 to Feb 2012 and designation as "embedded systems software engineer". I had nothing to do with embedded systems.

Only from March 2012(when i renewed my WP), its mentioned as NOC code: 0213.
I sent these to CIC. They did not raise any query so far.

Request you to explain this situation to nearby CIC office. They will guide you what to do. You can explain in your letter that you also consulted CIC official.

a software engineer (2283) from sep2010 to till date.But according to my WP from sep 2010 to sep 2012 im an embedded system designer and my latest WP contain correct Noc num ie..2283 code.Even i had not done anything in embedded system design.Can u pls discuss in detail wht ur letter and employment letter contains ..

I have seen ppl. with the same case whose PR got rejected.so im a bit tensed wht is going to happen with me.waiting for ur reply.

I have applied for PR on may 26th 2012 and i received a message on july 16th 2012 stating that my application is complete and forwarded to local office ....is this AOR ?
Till today i din't receive any updates for them.

I applied with NOC num 2283 which suites my role and my work permit shows "embedded system software designer" from sep 2010 to sep 2012 and latest work permit shows "software &computer system evaluators" form sep2012 to dec 2012.My company is not willing to extend me after dec2012 .So i dont knw what to do.....

I checked with few people who have gone through this and they suggest we always put whats there on the WP and NOC code thats there on the LMO.

By the way i have a question.
Have you been able to obtain a Experience letter from your organization detailing your duties and responsibilities. I am yet to check with my company if they can provide me one with

I got my exp.letter from my company,it only contains the year from when im working.
no duties and responsibilities mention in it.

Yes, I believe it should be the AOR. Does it include your application number ?

Did you check with CIC about the status of your application ? What does your ecas show ?

HI ..

I applied for CEC on April 18th.. but I mentioned the NOC 2171(IT Consultant), in my work-permit it was Software Engineer(2173)..

I gave a "roles an responsibilities" letter from my manager which states that as "IT Consultant".. I was confused with my Job title and job confirmation letter, this caused me to make this error

I haven't received my AOR yet.. I would like get my Application returned to me before processing it and getting Rejected. I used CC for the payment, If I cancel my Credit Card they will not make the payment and that leads to return the Application to me( I know its not good practice, but I don't have any-other choice)..

If I email to "CIO-Sydney-search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca" office and ask to return the Application, will they be able to help me???

someone pls pls help me with your valuable suggestions...

yesterday i checked my status it is showing "application received"..no more updates frm CIC.

Did u attached any reference letter with your documents?. did u mention any thing about ur embedded system design in ur WP? can u share ur reference letter with me pls ...
