From which location is it best to apply for citizenship downtown , Victoria park area or Mississauga which one would be the fastest ?
You send the application to Sydney, NS and they then decide where to forward your application.turboracer said:From which location is it best to apply for citizenship downtown , Victoria park area or Mississauga which one would be the fastest ?
Mate I know I have to send to Sydney Nova Scotia but the home address from where is it better to apply local office varies from place to place like scarborough glen Erin at Claire which one does the processing faster ?Swede said:You send the application to Sydney, NS and they then decide where to forward your application.
It's beyond your control where your file ends up within the GTA. Your processing office is not necessarily the closest to your address. Someone in Scarborough for example could very well get their application processed in Mississauga. Based on the pattern of turnover of applications (Scarbourough, St. Clair vs Mississauga, from test date to oath), I'd say that applications are assigned depending on the amount of foliow-up checks that are required per application. Some need more clarification than others (e.g., those with more out of country travels or travels that need further verification, fingerprint requests, name verifications, security checks). Based on the trends for posted timelines in this forum, I suspect that most cases handled in Mississauga are deemed "routine" (i.e., documents all in order, minimal travels, etc). Of course, ending up in Mississauga doesn't necessarily mean one's case could reach decision stage promptly. RQ's can still be requested.turboracer said:Mate I know I have to send to Sydney Nova Scotia but the home address from where is it better to apply local office varies from place to place like scarborough glen Erin at Claire which one does the processing faster ?

So, put an address where you're sure you'll have prompt access to your mails. You could end up putting an alternate address (not necessarily where you are often) and inadvertently miss out notices from CIC requesting for more documents or attend test/interview.
Good luck
He was providing an educated guess, not stating a fact. NO one knows for sure.blueshirt said:guys I have a question. someone here just mentioned if your application is straight it is mostly forwarded to Mississauga office.
Your RQ processing time varies depending on when the RQ is issued. It seems like the earlier you are issued an RQ, the faster the processing time. The worst is a post-test RQ.blueshirt said:But I know friends who got RQ from Mississauga office. so it means they will process the RQ response faster than other offices taking 36 months. I have one of forum member stating his RQ response and test date period was 4 month. wow.... please shed some light...
