Hello everyone, I'm new here. I finally got my ECA from WES (took 6 weeks) and am building my application now. I am a lawyer, I work for my country's government, and I manage other lawyers and staff.

I think I can legitimately use NOC 4112 (lawyer), 0114 (other admin managers), or the 041 series (government managers). Does it matter which I use? Is one more likely to have success than the other?

I have more years of experience as a lawyer, but have not yet sat the NCA exams so I'm not licensed to practice in Canada and am worried this will derail my application.

Thanks for any help!

Hi - I'd also be interested in knowing the answer to this!

I have worked as a private practice lawyer in Australia, and then in-house as a commercial contracts solicitor in Australia, then as a contracts manager and legal contracts manager in the UK. I think I can apply under the lawyer NOC, but want to confirm that the fact that I am not registered in Canda will not de-rail this.

The 0114 code is so generic that it encompasses all Managerial occupations relative to Admin Services- suggest you to have a look at the lead statement, roles & responsibilities(atleast 60-70% should match), and ofcourse the various job titles on this.
