For your children to be accepted into a public school, you almost always have to be living in the area covered by that school. It doesn't matter if you make your own drop off and pick up plans. To attend a particular school, you must almost always live in the area that is covered by that school. So if you want to make sure your children can attend a particular school, you should buy or rent a property that is in the right neightbourhood.
thnaks for clarifying, got another question, any idea about what is the major difference between an English public and English catholic school. Which one is best suited for Muslims.

For those who will be looking for schools (especially newcomers). My friends' kids are going to this private school - The York School in North York, Ontario. Perfect location between downtown and suburbs. Accessible by subways, bus, a lot of office building around for parents to work. So far everyone is happy. In addition, they have Baccalaureate program that is similar to European program - strong and good reputation for college application. They have a lot of international students, so much easier to communicate when you are just landed.
