Which is the best choice, super visa or visitor visa?

Hello everyone,

I would like to invite my parents to Canada. I am a citizen with good income. I do not know for the long term but my parents will be here for short term this time, just to visit.

Which do you think is the best choice? Apply for super visa and wait or try to get a visitor visa instead? Not sure if the visitor visa would be easier.

I recommend applying for a super visa, despite the processing times exceeding 100 days. Three of my friends’ parents had their visitor visa applications denied due to a common reason: insufficient ties to their home country. The super visa, intended for longer stays unlike the visitor visa, has seen approvals even for individuals with pre-existing medical conditions. Plus, while you pay for one year of health insurance upfront, you’ll receive a refund if you leave early, which is a nice benefit.
