which is easier? the CELPIP or the IELTS?

I doubt you're going to find very many people (if any) who have done both since CELPIP isn't available outside of Canada. Just pick one and take it.

CELPIP was extremly easy and a few dollars cheaper for me

I did both.
In my opinion, CELPIP is the best for preparation.
It is much easier than IELTS.
