I am confused about my decision. Me & my wife both having Government Job in India, having Rs.80,000/- per month family income. Also have PR in Canada. We have 4 year old daughter. According to facts seen, that future in Canada secure for children. It’s really tough for me to choose the right one (INDIA or CANADA). Please suggest me expert advice, what is best for me &my family.
Right now, we both are 32 and have Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering.

Its a good question to ask, simple answer would be which ever place you can scrounge through a better living standard for yourself and family.

Canada has better opportunities if you have the perseverance, but comes with uncertainty and possibility of a downgrade.

I say downgrade not as depreciating term, rather a reality check. Seeing Doctors and Dentists driving cabs here and doing other survival jobs, I wonder if they made right decision to come to this country, when they could have easily made much better living at home with their qualifications. As for driving cab or doing other survival jobs, even I would do it if I have to.

For some there is no option, with civil war, famine, persecution when they step into Canada there is nothing to loose. For others it might not be same. Everyone has to do their calculations and set their expectations. Those calculations are so individualistic that there are no templates, and hence not simplistic.

Well this should be easy for me to translate as I currently work for the Canadian government so we can compare.

You currently make RS 80,000 per month working for the government. That's $1,500 per month in Canadian dollar. That's like minimum wage here.

I make RS 471,100.00 per month working for the government in Canada. That's $9,000 a month. I'm a manager though but you can workout from that, if it's worth it to move or not to secure a good future if you wish to continue to work for the government and get a placement in the Canadian government.

I am not canadian nor indian, but i believe india has more opportunity than Canada. India is great country with high economic growth, why bother to move if you and your wife have already got stability, India is still growing and growing. Its true that your degree becomes useless in canada, what they need is people with canadian experiences..not a piece of certificate from your university and so, thats a piece of advice, but its still up to u to decide.

The govt jobs are best in India no need to move here. The life is peaceful in India and at this age you have to upgrade your education do survival jobs for 4-5 years and it wont be easy to land a good office job. If you are thinking about dollars then think this way, if you will be earning in dollars then you will be spending in dollars as well. The other suggestion I would like to give you is don't quit your govt jobs in India, you could just take unpaid leave then come here and see if you like it or not. If you quit your jobs then you might regret your decision and you will never be able to go back to India either.

Thank you

Bro, I suggest to do any one of these two:

1) dont leave ur jobs, go for long leaves like 6 to 8 months and both come to canada
keep ur children in India only with some relatives

and try to see if u can survive in candan

if not go back to original life in india

2) Either of you two(preferable male) leaves the job, comes to canada for long time say 2 or 3 yrs
and try to settle

if all good the spouse and children can come
if not good then you go back to india and find some private job

Why not the following?

1) Send the children to Canada and enrol them in boarding schools. Or have one spouse or assigned guardian (such as relative) living with them while enrol them in local Canadian schools. After a few years, the children can apply Canadian citizenship on their own and return home without worrying PR obligations.

2) Either of you leaves the job, come with children and live in Canada until everyone obtains Canadian citizenship. The other spouse can come if looks good. Otherwise the other spouse can keep his/her job in India.
