from the perspective of cost of living, apartment cost, nightlife, quality of life, less racism, more diverse/international, more things to do, better economy, better weather, more young crowd etc.?
Racism ?If you never want to leave the city, then Toronto. Vancouver is better known for access to the nearby ocean, forests, and mountains. Both cities are self-absorbed and obsessed with image. Many rich folk displacing the common people in both cities.
You will encounter similar economies, racism, nightlife, and demographics in both cities (subjectivities here; depends on your race, age, and career choice).
Weather in Vanvouver is moderated by the Pacific Ocean (warmer winters [4C], cooler summers [18C]) while Toronto is subject to greater temperature extremes as a continental climate (hotter summers [21C], colder winters [-3C]).
