Which Home Address To Use On Immigration Applications (Outland Applicant)?

Hi everyone,

I am currently filling out my applications for an Outland Canadian Application and WOW it's hard work.

My Police Check (being done by an English company - ACPO Criminal Records Office) requires two forms of evidence that shows my current address. The terminology used is as follows:

It is important that you provide copies of TWO different official proofs of your current address which must clearly show your name and address, and must both be dated within the last six months.

Here is the problem. Do I use my Canadian visitor address (the house I've lived in with my future wife for the past 6 months)? My Passport Address (the house I lived in before I came to Canada with my future wife)? Or my new English house (actually my mums house, and the place I stay whenever I come back to England)?

In addition, for all future forms regarding immigration, which address should I use?

Cheers,

Ste

My partner is currently on an IEC visa in Canada and had been for about 6 months when he applied for his UK police check for our application.
We just put his Canada address. Although he does get some mail here, he didn't have any within 6 months so I supplied two pieces of my mail (I'm the lease-holder), along with a letter explaining that he resides at my address. Worked out fine and received the police check!
We did that based on the following FAQ on the website (Can't post a link for some reason, but it is on the ACPO website FAQ):

I live abroad and cannot prove my UK addresses. What can I do?

If you live abroad you do not have to prove your UK addresses. You only have to prove your current address and inform us of your previous UK addresses over the past TEN (10) years.

(...)

I do not have any proofs of address in my name at the address where I currently live. What can I do?

If you do not receive mail addressed to you, we can accept:

TWO proofs of the address in the name of the householder dated within the last 6 months, together with a letter written by the householder confirming that you have no proofs in your own name but that you reside with them.

OR TWO documents taken from the following list. Documents must have been issued within the last 6 months:

• A letter from your employer on company headed paper confirming your current address as per their records.
• A tenancy agreement, rent payment receipts or a letter from a letting agent confirming your current address.
• A driving licence, ID card or passport page showing your current address.
• A letter from your bank on headed paper confirming your current address as per their records.

Please contact the ACRO Customer Services Team if you are still unable to provide sufficient documents to satisfy these requirements.

Hope this helps! :)
