Yah the administration is kinda weird over here. Even being a student over here, I had to suffer few bumps which is obviously ugly. Well since you have your reason of such harassment, you can claim such :D

Well McGill IS McGill. Studying over there will open a LOADS of doors for you all over Canada and USA too maybe. But Alberta's economy is booming and if you like to work in oil/sand companies during your interns and want to earn like $30 per hour (with mandatory overtime which almost doubles your hourly salary), I think UofA would be the better choice. All the oil sands are in Alberta and companies always prefer the provincial universities since they are easier to communicate. Still McGill, I guess, will be treated equally but being in UofA will make life much easier. In Alberta, its all about oil sand and gas and power engineers :D

Well yeah I have in mind but I got several friends in McGill and I also know a bit of french so with that I think it will be easy for for me to learn it. But University of Alberta is just to feasible for my family as a whole. My dad might pay as much as he had to pay lums. McGill, well 2.5 million PKR go nowhere. He can send me if he wants to but..... I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

Dude thats great. which course are you going to take in U of A. you see I am having a same situation here. between McGill and Alberta. I personally wanna go to McGill but as I have 3 Scholarships in Alberta, My dad wants to send me there. It is great for his pocket you know. If I go to Alberta, we might bump into each other. I am going for undergraduate electrical engineering by the way.
I wanna take computer science or they called it computing science in U of A. Well if you wanna go to McGill just apply McGill is a good university too. I don't wanna see my dad at school and it feels kinda weird for me lol! That's only my opinion btw.
