I am asking this question because I'll be moving March 1st or April 1st (not sure of the address yet) and my application is currently in process. I'll be of course updating my address with CIC as soon as I know the new one but I know sometimes there's delay...

In the worst case scenario that CIC doesn't update my address correctly after I move, which documents would I be missing? I am under the impression they send most communication, if not all, by email, correct?

RQ, FP request come via regular mail.

Test and oath invites are increasingly being sent by email these days, but could also be by regular mail.

In any case, your ECAS will update to indicate whenever any correspondence is mailed out to you (except for RQ, which I hope no one gets).

Thanks! I didn't realize they could send test invites by regular mail... I'll update my address as soon as I know it and hopefully nothing will be lost in transit.

Updates for Citizenship test date of AOR received in Dec 2017.

I have received my AOR on November 24-2017. But I have not received any updates about the Citizenship test. My friend had applied for Citizenship on November, He recieved AOR in Decemeber 2017 and he recieved the test date which is in next week..
Does anyone have any idea that what will be the reason for delay on my application status..

Everyone's case is different, cannot compare. For some, background checks like security and criminality are done first, then test invite is sent out. For others, it's vice versa. I, too, am still waiting for test invite. AOR in November, IP in early Dec. No update since then.

Just gotta hang in there.

CIC can send any communication by either email or regular mail.
Sometimes e-cas updates on time and sometimes not.
Around the time you move, update your new address with cic and have someone monitor your mails from cic at the old address.
Also keep checking your email, e-cas, mail at new address as well.
