Hi Everyone,

I have 1.5 years of experience in software testing in an IT firm and my academic details are listed below.

10th - 50 %
12th - 64 %
Graduation(BE - Electrical and electronics engineering) - 63 %

I am looking for a pg diploma course which is a mixture of both IT and management.I have short-listed the following two programs.

Project Management - Information Technology from seneca college

Information Systems Business Analysis Program from george brown college

Please let me know out of these two courses, which is better for securing a job in the Canadian market.

Also I noticed that the Project Management course from seneca is a 8 months course plus a optional 4 month co-op.So if I choose a optional co-op,will I get 12 months PG work permit or just 8 months as the course duration is 8 months.

Looking forward to hearing from. Thanks in advance.

For PGWP you will get something between 8-12 months PGWP, the coop counts, but don't assume you will get the 12 months, there is no rule on the number of months you will get but no less than 8 and no more than your program length.

You don't code? Seems from the programs you are choosing that you want to get off coding. Programming is a very valuable asset and you can get a job in no time. If I were you then I would chose "Information Systems Business Analysis Program". BA opportunities are frequent. Managing is not an option for junior guys, so don't expect to find jobs on that.

The advice is that you focus all your efforts on getting a great co-op and doing a fantastic job. Many guys who do great in the co-op might get an offer from the same employer. Keep that in mind.
